      报告人简介🍚:

      Chuan-Tau Lan, Professor Emeritus / Formerly J. L. Constant Distinguished Professor, Aerospace Engineering, University of Kansas, U.S.

      Dr. Lan has been at the University of Kansas since 1968 teaching theoretical and appliedaerodynamics, flight dynamics and applied mathematics. He received his B.S. in CivilEngineering degree at the National Taiwan University in 1958, MS degree in Civil Engineeringat the University of Minnesota in 1963, and his Ph.D. is in Aeronautics from the New YorkUniversity in 1968. Dr. Lan is an Associate Fellow of AIAA and a member of Sigma GammaTau and Tau Beta Pi. He received the AIAA Aerodynamics Award for 2000. He also receivedthe Outstanding Aerospace Educator Award by the graduating class in 1991 and Excellence inGraduate Teaching in 2001, chosen by the department’s graduate students and sponsored by theKU Center for Teaching Excellence. He is the co-author of a textbook on airplane performancewith Dr. Jan Roskam and is the author of a book entitled Applied Airfoil and Wing Theory.
